The famous viewpoints of Nusa Penida sit on two sides of the island, and the roads between them are slow. That is the reason many visitors ask whether one day is enough.
The short answer
- One day: choose west or east. Both sides in one day is possible, with a longer drive.
- Two days: west on day one, east on day two, with a night on the island.
- The island retribution is paid once, so a second day does not double your fees.
1. Day one: the west
Take the fast boat from Sanur in the morning. The west side has the best-known view on the island, Kelingking Beach, followed by Broken Beach and Angel's Billabong, which sit next to each other and share one ticket. Lunch is on the way, and the day ends with a swim at Crystal Bay.
2. The night on the island
You sleep on Nusa Penida, so there is no boat back in the afternoon and no boat again the next morning. You can book your own hotel, or choose one when you book the tour with us. We pass on the hotel's public rate with no fee added.
3. Day two: the east
The east is quieter. Diamond Beach and Atuh Beach are on the two sides of one headland and share a ticket. The Tree House (Rumah Pohon) viewpoint is close by. After lunch you return to the harbour for the fast boat to Sanur.
4. Is one day enough?
- If you have one day and want the classic photo, choose the west.
- If you want both sides in one day, the Mix Tour does it. Expect more time in the car.
- If you can stay a night, two days lets you see both sides without rushing.
5. What two days cost
Our 2-day tour is priced per person and covers the return fast boat, a private car with driver on both days, lunch on both days, the island retribution and the entrance tickets. The price per person drops as the group grows, because the car is shared. The hotel is extra.
