Most visitors expect one fee for Nusa Penida. There are two kinds: a retribution paid once for the island, and a ticket at each destination. The destination tickets are new, so many guides you read online still leave them out.
The short answer
- Island retribution: IDR 25,000 per person for international visitors.
- Destination ticket: IDR 25,000 per person at each ticketed spot, since September 2026.
- A west day with the usual stops: 3 destination tickets. An east day: 2.
1. The island retribution
International visitors pay IDR 25,000 per person. You pay it once for your visit, not once per day, so a two-day stay costs the same as a day trip. Indonesian visitors are not charged the retribution since September 2026; they pay the destination tickets only.
2. Destination tickets
Since the start of September 2026, the main viewpoints charge an entrance ticket of IDR 25,000 per person. Some neighbouring spots share one ticket, which is why the total is lower than the number of names on your itinerary.
| Destination | Side | Ticket per person |
|---|---|---|
| Kelingking Beach | West | IDR 25,000 |
| Broken Beach and Angel's Billabong | West | IDR 25,000 for both |
| Crystal Bay | West | IDR 25,000 |
| Diamond Beach and Atuh Beach | East | IDR 25,000 for both |
| Tree House (Rumah Pohon) | East | IDR 25,000 |
| Teletubbies Hill | East | IDR 25,000 |
| Amok Sunset | West | No ticket |
3. What a typical trip adds up to
These totals are per international visitor and cover fees only. Boat, car, lunch and snorkeling are separate.
4. How to pay without surprises
- Ask your operator whether the price includes retribution and destination tickets. Some packages include them, others collect them on the day.
- If you travel on your own, carry small rupiah notes for each gate.
- Fees can change. We update this page when they do.
